The Anamorphic Size Illusion
Creating the illusion of 3D with anamorphic art involves distorting and stretching the image in a way that it appears three-dimensional when viewed from a specific angle. In order to capture the 3D look, the artwork must be much larger than it appears. To create an image that appears to go "up," the artwork will get longer and wider as it goes back in the space. Here you can see some angles that help to show just how much difference there is in the actual size versus the 3D size.
